The Shadow of Silence is an immersive, interactive theatre work, collaboratively created by three artists. The space is divided into three sections. The first is a realm of reality, made from hemp ropes and black frames. Performers entangle their bodies with the lines, expressing the repression of the subconscious. Next is the dream space, composed of translucent white curtains, PVC sheets, and light. Through the use of light, images are projected from the PVC onto the curtains, representing the subconscious as it manifests in dreams. The final space features a "tree" built from foam, wooden sticks, and red threads, symbolizing the entanglement and conflict between the subconscious and the self. Each space is filled with countless elements for the audience to engage with creatively. After watching the performance, the audience is invited to express their emotions and thoughts on the installations. The performers then improvise, using their bodies and voices to incorporate these elements into a new, spontaneous performance.
